Don Farrell

Artist's Statement

“Despite living in a culture where everyone ‘already knows everything and is never wrong’, I am still humbled and intrigued by things that cannot be seen nor explained. Above all, I am inspired by the mystery of Transformation - from the mundane to deeper, hidden layers of reality. I celebrate the Change that occurs in conformity with the Will of the good men and women who have crossed this threshold. I decry (yet accept as reality) the sorcery of dark-tower tyrants maneuvering to conceal this portal of spirit from their easy prey of ‘all-knowing’ cynics swayed only by material. With promethean pleasure, I open the window, for all to see their divinity - to claim their rightful crown.

Both an observer and a participant, I am a paintbrush-wielding note-taker in cyclical (non-linear) time, always amazed by the many little transformations that are scale models of the Transformation insufficiently comprehended in the two dimensions of mere allegory.”
